Description

These tents are based upon the wall tents issued to US forces in WWII, specifically QMC Stock Nos. 24-T-323 (small) and 24-T-322 (large). While not a stitch for stitch recreation of the original tents, these look and behave like the originals while using the superior construction methods Tentsmiths is known for. The standard fabric for these tents is 10.10oz cotton canvas in OD used in period and is treated with the same wet process to be waterproof and flame retardant. We can also make these tents in our Sunforger 13 oz options as well.

Stove Pipe options – Tentsmiths standard (silicon gasket and fire retardant material with exterior rain cover) or the historical pipe outlet set high in the back door.

PLEASE NOTE: All OD Tents and Flies are done in batches due to the messy nature of the canvas itself. As our canvas uses the same treatment process from the 1940s, it is FAR messier than our usual fabrics. We cannot make these tents with any other canvas on the production floor, our stitchers must wear coveralls, and we need to completely clean the shop once a batch is done. Currently, we plan for one batch a quarter, any orders exceeding the space in a batch will get pushed to the next quarter. Thank you for your understanding.

All PRODUCTS ARE “CANVAS ONLY”. YOU WILL NEED POLES, ROPES, AND STAKES TO SET UP YOUR TENT, WHICH CAN BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY.
